Moving mode

Know what is in the box
without opening it.

Fill a box, photograph it before you tape it shut, and Remio lists what went in. Number the box, and every thing inside stays findable through the whole move.

How it works

Three steps, per box

The whole method fits on the side of a carton. Do it once and the rest of the move follows.

1

Fill it, then photograph it

One photo of the open box. Remio names what it sees and puts it on that box's list.

2

Number it and label it

Print a sheet of numbers, or write one on with a marker. Remio treats both the same.

3

Unpack into the new place

Tap each thing as it comes out and it lands in its new room. The box drops off the list when it is empty.

A look inside

A move you can actually read

Every box, its number, the room it is headed for, and how far along it is.

Labels for the printer, or a marker for the carton

Remio makes an A4 sheet of numbers that starts at the first number no box is using yet, so a second sheet never repeats one already taped to a box. There is a sheet of fragile stickers too, for the boxes that need handling.

No printer? Write the number on with a marker. What is written on the cardboard is what counts, and you can change a box's number in the app to match it.

Choosing how many labels to print and previewing one A4 page of numbers

The move ends. The inventory stays.

By the time the last box is empty, every thing you own has a room, a shelf and a photo, and you never sat down to make a list. That is the part that keeps working long after the van has gone: months later you ask where something is, and Remio still knows.

Questions, answered

Do I have to photograph every single thing?
No. One photo of the open box is enough. Remio's AI reads the picture, names the things it can see, and puts them on that box's list. You tape the box shut and move on.
What if I do not have a printer?
Write the number on the box with a marker. Remio treats a written number and a printed label exactly the same, because the number on the cardboard is the one that counts.
Do my photos leave my phone?
Your photos stay on your device. Only the single image you choose to scan is sent for recognition, and it is not stored anywhere afterwards.
What happens to the boxes when I am done?
Emptied boxes disappear along with the move. A box that still has something in it becomes an ordinary container in your inventory, so nothing is ever lost by ending a move.
Is it free?
Five boxes are free. Past that it is part of Remio Pro, together with unlimited things and unlimited AI scans.

Pack it. Find it.

Remio remembers which box everything went into.
